Cult Classics Cinema presents Set It Off - Hosted By Sum Cut

About the Show

Classic Cinema, curated by DJ Rosegawd in Los Angeles, is a cinematic and musical journey celebrating classic Black movies and the soundtracks that brought them to life. On November 6th, the ladies of Sum Cut host a special 30th anniversary screening of Set It Off at the Miracle Theater in Inglewood celebrating the story of four friends pushed to the edge who turn to bank robbery to take control of their lives. 30 years later, we’re still talking about Stony, Cleo, Frankie & T.T. And we can’t forget Queen Latifah’s Cleo, one of ’90s cinema’s memorable openly queer characters. With the film + soundtrack in the mix from “Don’t Let Go (Love)” to “Missing You” and “Set It Off.” Doors 8PM • Movie 9PM Miracle Theater • Inglewood This series honors a time when music played a key role in creating the vibe and world of each film.
