SEED LA & JAH Productions present: Amicus Mortuus-Dead Homie by Jenoyne Adams Horton
Amicus Mortuus (Dead Homie) grapples with many of the forces our South LA and Inglewood youth face as they navigate school, family, urban economics, friendship, love, and our streets. With dead homies holding iconic weight in our neighborhoods, this play explores: what does the dead homie represent and who was the first dead homie in many of our young people’s lives? And lastly, if a dead homie could speak to us from the grave, what would he say? Written by critically acclaimed, bestselling author Jenoyne Adams Horton, this play benefits the Dramatic Theatre Department of SEED School of Los Angeles County. We appreciate your support!
