On Saturday February 19th, Thee Sinseers, the premier band in Southern California's souldies scene and opening act, The Altons, a soul rock group with a twist of Latin inspired flavors and rhythms bring the old school LA groove back to the stage. Straight out of East L.A. and led by Latinx singer-songwriter Joseph Quiñones, Thee Sinseers feature a full rhythm and brass section, and are part of a new generation of bands that are inspired by the interrelated lowrider and soul music scenes that began within the Chicano communities of Los Angeles in the 1950s. Opening the show, The Altons, a soul rock group with a twist of Latin inspired flavors and rhythms brings intense grooves from the rhythm section. This show promises to remind us what makes Los Angeles such a special place.
